Who's Who

Richard Payes
Principal

Mr. Payes has been involved in real estate development and mortgage investments for 30 years. He has been involved in the development of shopping centers, office buildings, multifamily condominium and rental properties, and townhouse and single family residences. He has overseen hundreds of commercial foreclosure, bankruptcy and civil litigation cases in connection with over $800 million of non-performing mortgage investments. He holds a J.D. with a specialization in real estate finance law, a Masters in urban planning and a Masters in public management. His academic honors include awards in urban design and real estate law. Mr. Payes served as a member of the Board of Governors for a congregate care complex and as President for an independent senior living residence.

Cezary Komarzewski
Director of Construction and Project Management

Mr. Komarzewski is responsible for residential and commercial construction and project management. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Komarzewski has managed and directed every facet of new and rehabilitation construction. He has directed major renovations of 17-unit to 300-unit multifamily properties, restoration of 100-year-old buildings in historic areas, and new construction of single family homes and commercial project amenities. He has extensive hands-on knowledge in all the building trades. Mr. Komarzewski joined Frontier in 1999.

Joshua Roberts
Director of Operations

Mr. Roberts is responsible for property management, tenant relations, project marketing and financial reporting. Mr. Roberts holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Maryland and has extensive experience in public accounting, project accounting and property management. He holds real estate licenses in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Roberts joined Frontier in 2007 after having been a subcontractor to Frontier since 2004.

Jurate Bujanauskas
Finance Administrator

Ms. Bujanauskas directs Frontier’s financial administration. She is responsible for project accounting, accounts payable, receivables, loan administration, contract administration, tax administration, financial reporting and bookkeeping. She has extensive knowledge of condominium project accounting, rental property administration and accounting software. Ms. Bujanauskas holds a B.A. from Klaipeda College in Lithuania and real estate licenses in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Bujanauskas joined Frontier in 2002.

Robert Martinez
Facilities Project Manager

Mr. Martinez has field oversight of maintenance staff, operations staff and subcontractors. He is responsible for material procurement, contract bidding and estimating. Mr. Martinez has extensive knowledge in all the building trades, all facets of property operations, and project tracking and reporting. Mr. Martinez joined Frontier in 2003.

Benjamin Payes
Acquisitions Manager

Mr. Payes is responsible for property acquisition, project due diligence and broker relations. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in economics. He holds a real estate license in Maryland. He joined Frontier in 2006.
